That's right! Girls-only basketball camps! No boys! Allow your daughter to become a great basketball player in a comfortable environment, which is led by championship-level high school coaches!
What We Do
Having excellent basketball fundamentals are critical to a player’s success. Basketball shooting is a very important skill to develop. In order to take your game to the next level you have to put in the time and discipline to exceed your potential. We focus on teaching detailed skills and how to implement them in game like situations. This will improve confidence and game IQ.

We have known ‘Coach Berry’ for several years. He is such a positive and inspirational person. When our son decided to become very serious about basketball, we started having him work with John. We have seen amazing changes with our son’s fundamental skills and physical fitness. John not only teaches kids basketball, he is a positive role model. He is teaching them life skills that every kid needs. He teaches with high-energy, positive reinforcement, and hands-on guidance. It has been said that raising kids “takes a village“. We are so pleased to have John as a part of our village.
We have had our son at Youth Hoops for over a year now and he has learned "how" to play basketball. Our son has honed the skills of dribbling, shooting, passing, and operating in a system. Coach Berry and his coaching team are exquisite at squeezing the confusion, anxiety, and fear, out of the child and filling them with confidence, skills, and self-pride. We are very pleased with the confidence this has provided and importantly, the skills imparted are stellar. Finally, Coach Berry also speaks to the children about being self-aware, self-less, and self-respecting, these are skills and characteristics that will serve them all as they grow into young men and women.
My experience at youth hoops has been amazing. I have seen my son basketball skills grow tremendously. He is gaining more confidence and skills with every camp he has attended. Coach Berry and the staff really work with the youth to tap their potential.
Meet Our Coaches
Byrd began coaching in 2016 at Fuquay- Varina Middle School as a girl's middle school basketball coach. After one one short year he went on to coach girls' basketball at Fuquay-Varina High School for two years and then at Jordan Matthew's High School the following 2 years.
Byrd is currently the head women's basketball coach at Seaforth High School. During the 2021 - 2022 season, he led the lady hawks to a conference championship and received coach of the year honors. In addition to coaching women's high school basketball teams, he has also coached various AAU basketball teams. Through these programs, he creates a platform for athletes to build their legacy.
Coach Hayes has worked with players of all ages and skill levels in numerous settings (including but not limited to individual, small group, team, camp, and clinic sessions). He focuses on improving the on-court skill of players while also using basketball as a vehicle to teach players constructive values and lessons on their journey to success after the ball stops bouncing.
The “surgical instruction” style, with an emphasis on detail has been Coach Berry’s calling card. Coach Berry is, and always has been committed to helping youth in life and on the basketball court. At Youth Hoops, he pledges the same!
ALL BASKETBALL CAMPS COME WITH A MONEY BACK GUARANTEE ... PERIOD!!!
Youth Hoops Basketball Camps offer ongoing, year-round, youth basketball camps for kids (boys & girls) ranging in ages 6 to 14. Our youth basketball camps are based on a comprehensive course curriculum, which emphasizes basketball fundamentals. Such basketball fundamentals include ball handling, shooting, offensive moves, defense and inside play/rebounding.
It is the goal of Youth Hoops to teach basketball fundamentals to as many kids as possible. Too many times, when watching the youth play (in pick-up, recreation, AAU and high school games), fundamentals are vastly lacking. Using professional and portable basketball drills, kids will be able to improve their game greatly. In addition, many drills may be repeated anywhere.
